Creative Tax Reliefs is delighted to welcome charity finance specialist Jan Bonar as an associate member of the team.  Previously Finance Director at Southbank Sinfonia in London, Jan is now based in Yorkshire and specialises in working with small and medium arts charities helping them to professionalise their financial management, governance and compliance.  She is available to work with charities and other small and medium arts organisations on their budgeting and forecasting, management accounting and statutory reporting amongst other areas.  Jan particularly enjoys working with Trustee Boards to develop their charity’s financial strategy and governance arrangements to ensure their structure and approach enables them to maximise their charitable impact.

Jan says, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Graham and his team to share my knowledge and experience in this field with a broader range of clients.  Small charities often lack the resources to have this type of expertise in-house; but adopting a truly professional approach to the financial management and governance of their organisation can help to build confidence amongst funders and other stakeholders and ensures the most efficient use of available resources.  I am proud of my past experience, in particular at Southbank Sinfonia where I played a crucial role in enabling the organisation to grow in size and impact, build strong financial reserves and deliver ever-more ambitious programmes of activity within budget during my time in post.  I am passionate about helping other small organisations to do the same.”
